Nelson English International Teacher's Resource Book 4
The Teachers Resource Book will show how the course provides an underpinning structure to the teaching of English, focusing particularly on the knowledge, skills and understanding of writing, while giving ample opportunity for reading, listening and speaking. Notes are given on how new skills and concepts are introduced slowly and progressively, and it is never assumed that a concept has been mastered simply because it has been introduced before. The teacher is able to monitor and estimate progress and attainment in a constant and convenient way as assessment is an important component of the pupil material. Opportunities are constantly offered for reinforcement and revision, and when related skills and concepts are being introduced the activities are designed to allow for earlier material to be revisited.
- The teacher has a wealth of material to draw from to implement the course successfully.
- The structure and sequencing of the course are intended to support not supplant existing good practice.
- Scope and Sequence Charts summarise each topic of work and clearly identify the Language and Writing Skills that are covered in that unit.
