Reactivity series of halogens

All of the halogens react with iron to make a compound. The iron wool glows as they react. Some react more easily than others.

They can be placed in order of reactivity. Flourine is the most reactive. It is high up the group on the periodic table.

Metals show a pattern of reactivity too.
