Telescopes
Astronomical telescopes use a concave mirror to collect light
from distant objects, such as the Moon, or stars.
The mirror reflects the light onto the focal point. A second
flat mirror placed here reflects the light out through the
eyepiece.
Newton used a
telescope like this one.
