Reflection at a plane mirror

We can use a plane (flat) mirror to control where light goes.

The light is reflected from the mirror at the same angle which it hits the surface at.

Changing the angle the light shines at it will change the angle it bounces off at.

Periscopes use plane mirrors to control where light goes.
