Reflection by curved mirrors

Curved mirrors make odd looking images when we look into them.

Concave mirrors have a surface which curves inwards. They make things look bigger. They are used for shaving, in dentists mirrors and in telescopes.

Convex mirrors have a surface which curves outwards. They give a wide angle view. Security mirrors in shops are convex.
