Electromagnetic Rays

All electromagnmetic rays are ripples of electric and magnetic energy. They are made when electrons or other charged particles vibrate and lose energy.

They travel through space at speeds of 300,000,000 metres each second.

Many sources give off more than one type of radiation.

James Maxwell's work led to the discovery of radio waves and X rays.
