Freezing

When a liquid looses heat it may freeze. The liquid changes state to become a solid.

As the liquid cools its particles lose energy. They move more slowly. They become attracted to each other as they lose even more energy. They stop moving about.

The liquid has then become a solid.

This change can be reversed.
