Evaporating

When a liquid is heated it may evaporate. The liquid changes state to become a gas.

When a liquid is heated its particles gain energy. They start to move about more quickly. They start to move away from each other as they gain even more energy.

The liquid has then become a gas.

This change can be reversed.
