Neon

Neon is a colourless gas. It is one of the 'noble' gases. A small amount of Neon is present in the atmosphere. It is very unreactive.

Neon glows when an electric discharge passes through it. It is used in 'neon' lighting for advertising. It is also used in TV tubes.
