Calcium
Calcium is a silvery white metallic
element. It is important in making teeth bones, shells and
leaves. It is reactive and is not found as the metal in nature.
Most is found in limestone rock. It was first isolated in
1808 by Humphrey davey.
Calcium is used as an element in the extraction of some rare
metals. In limestone
it is important for the building industry for making cement,
mortar, and plaster.
