Digestive System

The food you eat passes into your digestive system.

The organs in this system make the food more useful to your body.

They make enzymes which are mixed with the food. The enzymes break up large molecules in food into smaller soluble molecules. This process is called digestion.

The small molecules are absorbed into your blood stream.
