Excretion

The body makes poisonous substances as waste products of life processes.

These substances would harm the body if they stayed. They must be removed from the body

This process is called excretion.

Carbon dioxide is made in living cells by respiration. The lungs remove carbon dioxide from the blood.

Urea is made in the liver. The kidneys remove urea from the blood.
