Heart

The heart is made up of two pumps. Each side has two chambers.

Blood from veins flows into an atrium. The atrium contracts and forces blood into a ventricle. The ventricles contract to force blood out of the heart through arteries.

Valves between the chambers keep blood flowing in the right direction.

The heart pupms blood through two branches of the circulation system.
