Bladder

The bladder is part of the urinary system.

It is a stretchy bag which collects urine from the kidneys. It opens to the outside through the urethra tube. This tube is kept closed by a ring of muscle.

When the bladder is full, this muscle ring opens, and the bladder squeezes out the urine which it has collected.
