Welcome to the
Chemistry In Context Web Site

This website has been designed to support users of the Chemistry in Context series, helping both students and teachers of both AS and Advanced level courses, as well as those studying the International Baccalaureate.

Chemistry in Context has been a major best-selling Advanced Level text for more than 20 years. The authors are highly experienced teachers and understand how to bring chemistry alive by explaining it within everyday situations. The 5th edition of the book has been completely revised and updated for all major new specifications. It is accompanied by a revised Laboratory Manual (5th edition) and a brand new Online Study Guide, which provides a bank of over 500 questions to aid revision and reinforcement of key concepts.

Please use the buttons along the top and down the right hand side to navigate to the section of the site that you require. You will find a wide range of resources, including further information on the books themselves (e.g. contents lists, details of experiments and biographies of the authors), materials to use alongside the text books (e.g. downloadable diagrams from the books, answers to questions or support for teachers on using the Laboratory Manual) and the chance to find out more about the exciting new Online Study Guide, including sample questions.

If you have any questions or comments about the books, please email us on cic@nelsonthornes.com.
