Frequently Asked Questions
What elements of the curriculum does Rigolo cover?
Rigolo Primary French covers all elements of the Key Stage 2 MFL Framework recommendations. It also covers all the contents and skills required in the QCA Scheme of Work for KS2 French, as well as integrating ICT into your languages lessons.
How long should each unit take to teach?
Each Rigolo CD-ROM is split into 12 units, providing you with 24 units in total. These 12 units per CD-ROM will span 2 years of teaching, thus meaning each unit (which is split by pre-built lessons) should last you half a term.
What is the target age group for each CD-ROM?
The optimum age range for Rigolo 1 is 7 to 9 (school years 3 & 4) and Rigolo 2 is age 10 to 11 (school years 5 & 6). However if you are introducing French into your school for the first time you can use Rigolo 1 at any stage as it will cover the vocabulary required for the first 2 years of French Language lessons. For older children, they maybe able to fast track this level if required.
How can I buy Rigolo?
You can buy Rigolo Primary French as an entire resource by selecting both CD ROMs and the Resource Pack, or as individual items as the audio CD, CDROM 1, CDROM 2, hand puppets and the set of 6 Big Books.
