When did Islam begin?

What is Islam?

Muslims believe that humans have always been guided by God from the beginning of creation. They believe that God selected special people as prophets to teach his message. So throughout human history, Islam teaches, prophets have been telling the world about God, for example Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. All of them have taught the same message of surrendering to God’s will, which is what Islam means. Some 1400 years ago the prophet Muhammad was sent by God, Muslims believe, to renew this old message.

Islam is the name of the religions followed by Muslims, They believe that there is only one God and that people should surrender to God’s will and follow the prophets.
