AQA, the UK’s largest examining body, announced in December 2005 that it will exclusively endorse Nelson Thornes’ educational resources for all subjects at GCSE, AS and A2 level. So, why is this significant? This represents new territory for the educational publishing market and for us. Firstly, Nelson Thornes is the only publisher receiving exclusive AQA endorsement for products in all subjects at these levels. AQA will not endorse anyone else’s products or services. Secondly, the partnership enables us to work closely with AQA so that our resources perfectly match AQA’s specifications and, ultimately, the needs of teachers and pupils.
This success, together with our blended learning approach, which is setting us apart from our competitors, means we’re enjoying unprecedented growth. Unlike our competitors, our print and electronic products are totally integrated, providing teachers with easy-to-use blended learning resources, seamlessly combining print, CD ROM, offline and online. We’re ahead of the wave, setting the standard in truly integrated resources for schools and colleges. We’re also the market leader in many subjects and are poised to conquer many more between now and 2009 as we realize our ambitious but realistic growth plans.
