The PM Emerald Level Chapter Books provide a selection of stories featuring
a range ofcontent, characters, issues for discussion, narrative and points
of view. They were specifically written with the needs of smallgroup teaching
in mind, and cover a range of topics that give plenty of scope for group
discussion in guided reading. Topics includeinjured wildlife, peer group
pressure and pool safety.

The PM Emerald Level non-fiction titles are written at the reading level of
9–10 years. They offer a range of texts, including journals, verses, newspaper
reports and persuasive letters. These texts feature a student-centred focus
on technology and the arts, reflecting the developing role of technology in art,
design, music, media and communications.
