Fast Lane Key Elements
Fast Lane is made up of three core components; Fiction, Non-Fiction and Audio CDs that create a complete reading scheme for your struggling readers.
Fiction
Fast Lane fiction books have been carefully written to provide a variety of different styles and genres that will appeal to older readers.
They have clearly defined characters and compelling story lines.
Non-Fiction
The Fast Lane non-fiction books have all the components of real non-fiction books. They contain a contents page, a glossary of terms and an index. These features are vitally important to a pupil’s understanding of how reading differs between fiction and non-fiction texts.
Audio CDs
All Fast Lane books are accompanied by a mini audio CD. These CDs provide an excellent model of fluent reading and a fun way to revisit the text.
The CDs have a mixture of male and female voices as well as subtle sound effects to spark your readers imagination.
