Fiction and Non Fiction Texts
Fast Lane consists of 142 highly-motivational titles across 20 levels for pupils who need levelled texts with age-appropriate content. The series offers:
- 71 Fiction and 71 Non-fiction titles from reading age 5 ½ to reading age 9 (Fast Lane level 6 to 25).
- An audio CD accompanying each title to model fluent reading.
- 1 Fiction and 1 Non-fiction Teacher’s Guide to support the whole series.
- A CD-ROM containing printable reading records and assessment sheets for every level.
Fast Lane Fiction
Fast Lane fiction books have been carefully written to provide a variety of different styles and genres that will appeal to older readers. They have clearly defined characters and compelling storylines.
Fast Lane Non-Fiction
The non-fiction books have all the components of real factual books: a contents page, a glossary of terms and an index. These features are vitally important to a pupils’ understanding of how reading differs between fiction and non-fiction texts.
