Assessment

AS Level: one written examination for each of 2 modules + coursework.

A2 Level: one written examination for each of 2 modules + coursework.

Course Description

Electronics is ubiquitous in our world yet few of us give this any real regard. AS and A2 Level Electronics develop an understanding of the processes and technology involved in electronics. AS and A2 coursework modules give students invaluable practical experience of designing, building and testing their own electronics systems.

The AS Level modules comprise:

- Introductory Electronics
- Further Electronics
- Coursework.
(The AS may be awarded as a discrete qualification or count as 50% of the A2).

The A2 Level modules comprise:

- Programmable Control Systems
- Communications Systems - (Radio, Mobile Phone and - Fibre optic)
- Coursework.
