AS Samples

The print sample is an extract taken from the student book, which focuses on the topic of ‘HIV’ from AS Unit 1 ‘The body and its diseases’. The accompanying e-resources consist of:

1) Animation that is linked to this topic, which shows the structure of HIV in relation to its replication within a host cell. The animation brings scientific concepts to life and promotes independent learning.

2) Chapter Map – this is a teacher resource consisting of a summary of the chapter, which links the student book, the electronic resources and the specification together per topic. It also talks through common misconceptions, lesson ideas and any alternative approaches to teaching orders for that topic.

Please look at the sample resources for the rest of the A Level Science suite (Biology, Chemistry, Physics A and Physics B). As a group they demonstrate the range of electronic resources that will be available for your specification.
