Magenta Levels 1, 2 & 3
PM Starters Level 1 build emergent reading concepts and skills. Children learn the fundamentals of reading, handling a book and understanding directionality of reading.
At level 1 children master a growing number of high frequency words and look for meaning from a close match of words and pictures.
By the end of PM Starters Level 2 and Levels 2/3 children should be able to recognise 25-30 high frequency words and be confident with simple sentence constructions.
